The Law Abiders have bitten the dust!

Tis some sad news that is a little past due, but The Law Abiders are no more. The band will live on in the hearts and minds of an elite few for many years to come. They played many shows, and were heard to remark that the shows were some of the finest experienced in each of their respective show-playing histories. What next? Well, there are glimmers on the horizon, but you might just have to wait and see. In the mean time, you should go see the new Cyberpage for our friend The Grand Mandibles HERE.

The Law Abiders Ride Again!

Believe it or not, The Law Abiders had never played in the Burlington, VT area before last month. That all changed on one chilly evening, when we got invited to play with Canada's own Dirty Kills in Winooski. They were super nice, and I bought a tape. It was a tiny show where the band members outnumbered the audience 3 to one, but the rock and roll could not be denied. I forgot to post about it. Well, here it goes... Oh wait, I'm done.

Real Life Time Machines: The Animated Gif: The Movie

We took a lot of pictures band in bathrooms as Real Life Time Machines, but the ones from Death By Audio stood out. They conveniently had two bathrooms right next to each other with plenty of room to take some nice pictures. How could we pass up an opportunity like that? I've always wanted to animate these pictures, but never bothered to learn how. Now I know how, and the people who read this blog, rather the tinier portion who know who Real life time Machines were, get to reap the benefits!

Our last blogpost contained an egregious error. The show was slated for March 7th, not the 9th. I corrected it, but it's at times like this that I'm glad I don't have a gigantic fanatic blog following. I've still got to get my act together.
The show itself was outstanding. Be Aggressive was right on. Get A Grip was epic. The Law Abiders closed it all out. After the show, Nick Grandchamp even recorded an episode of his StokedCity Podcast featuring The Law Abiders themselves.
Anyway, this Friday (March 14th), Pariah Beat makes their triumphant return to the Main Street Museum. You ought to head on out, if you've got the time...

The Law Abiders to release Thanks But No Thanks But Thanks

On March 7th at The Main Street Museum in White River Junction, VT, those lovable Law Abiders will release their follow up to California Business Guy.
Thanks But No Thanks But Thanks was recorded over the Fall and Winter of 2013 with one Matt Banker. Proudly, The Law Abiders think it sounds like a real nice record, but they'd like you to be the judge.
This sparkle-y new album will also be available on Bandcamp on March 8th, when a tired Matt Mazur will come home late after a show and hit a button; thus putting the album up on the world wide web.

So, now to slightly change directions. In the interest of getting music out there, I've begun the process of putting the bands' music up on Bandcamp. This is time consuming, but soon it will be done! I've also added Real Life Time Machines to our band listing. Although they are defunct, they were the first band to be released officially on The Case Of The Missing Records. They have a decent sized back catalogue, and it hasn't really been available anywhere, so we took up the torch! Visit our "The Bands!" page and you will find links to the various artists Bandcamps as they become available.

Also, the music is free! Just go to the Bandcamp page for any given album and hit $0 in the name your price section!

This video taping comes courtesy of Dan Howard, who has been an adamant supporter of Upper Valley Music. On this day, The Real Life Time Machines were playing at Music Matters with the River City Rebels. Rob graciously invited us into his store to play time after time. The Yarbles, The Jonee Earthquake Band, The Cupcakes, The Black Moors, Chris Macie, The Ex Romantics too I believe. You can correct me if I'm wrong, and maybe tell me some of the ones you remember.
